Graduate Testimonials
Training with Lucy was nothing short of a life-changing experience (on and off the yoga mat). Throughout the course, she deepens your understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment and asanas. Her main priority is that you learn how to design classes safely, and always teach for the people who show up on the day, not what you might have planned in your head. Beyond the technical bits, Lucy guides you through your own self-discovery during the course and is always on hand to talk through some of the big life questions. The best bit about Lucy’s training was that she was down to earth, a normal, hard-working mum. You could really relate to her.
I also adored the group I trained with, it was a unique experience to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for yoga and I miss our training weekends together.
Lucy’s course gave me the skills of leadership, confidence and communication, and I’m happy to say that I was teaching yoga less than 2 months after graduating.

When I first started researching places to complete my yoga teacher training, I looked all over the world and then found the perfect school for me at Sussex Yoga Training! Not only is the location and studio stunning, Lucy is an amazing teacher and practitioner and her programme is outstanding. The programme was really thorough and comprehensive and included everything from all aspects of practice, to anatomy, history, philosophy, adjustments, ethics, setting up a studio or teaching practice - and so much more!
I cannot recommend this programme highly enough, Lucy takes this work really seriously and offers the programme in a way that is also light, fun and caring. In a profession that is unregulated, I felt really reassured that the teaching instruction and guidance we received was very professional, safe, ethical and with high integrity. Not only is Lucy very highly qualified, she is also really experienced and she combines her own skills by also bringing other specialist teachers in for specific modules.Tracy Sinclair
I looked at many teacher trainings before I found Sussex Yoga Training and instantly knew this is where I was destined to go next. I experienced magic and an understanding of yoga that I had never felt before and everything energetically began to click into place. I knew I was on the right path. My compassion for myself and others truly ignited and the more I learned, the more I fell in love with yoga as a lifestyle. With my new eyes, I found new love and adoration for life and people and wanted to continue to share yoga with others - in personal practice and offering it as a Facilitator.Violet Foster
Lucy’s Teacher Training course was transformational on both a practice and personal level. Lucy has a wealth of knowledge, in-depth understanding of anatomy, sequencing techniques & yoga history which is inspiring! The location is beautiful and unique. We were given a balance of support and space to build our confidence & community within our yoga teacher training cohort.Everyone had their own reason to be on the course (not everyone wanted to go on to teach), some trainees wanted to deepen their own understanding of yoga. I personally didn’t think I wanted to actually teach but I’m now exploring it and am using all the knowledge & techniques gained on the TT course, every week, within my own practice and when sharing yoga with a class as a teacher!!!I’ve also made a lovely group of friends with the exact same passion for yoga. We’ve stayed in touch and we’re planning to get together regularly.…Just do it. You won’t regret it.Claire Southern
