Sussex Yoga Training Ltd monitors and evaluates its training systems, policies & procedures to ensure the quality of its teacher training programmes.
Tutor Requirements
Tutors delivering training for Sussex Yoga Training Ltd must hold:
• Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification, or
• Level 3 Diploma Certification
with a minimum of 500 hours of yoga teacher training.
Tutors are expected to engage in ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to maintain and develop their teaching knowledge and professional skills.
CPD activities may include:
• professional training courses
• mentoring or supervision
• teaching observation
• research or personal study
• participation in workshops, retreats or relevant educational events
CPD activity will normally take place each year and may vary depending on teaching commitments and professional circumstances.
CPD activity may be reviewed periodically by course founder & creator Lucy Leslie as part of the quality assurance process.
Assessor Requirements
Assessors must hold:
• Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification, or
• Level 3 Certification
with a minimum of 500 hours of yoga teacher training, and
• significant professional teaching experience, normally a minimum of eight years.
Assessors are expected to engage in ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to maintain professional knowledge and assessment standards.
CPD activities may include:
• attendance at professional training or CPD events
• mentoring or supervision
• observation of teaching
• research, reading or self-directed study
• participation in relevant workshops or courses
CPD activity is expected to take place regularly and may vary according to professional commitments.
Records of CPD may be reviewed periodically by course founder & creator Lucy Leslie as part of the quality assurance process.
Observation & Moderation
Assessors may observe teaching sessions, review assignments and moderate coursework to ensure consistency in standards.
Lesson plans and course plans may also be reviewed.
Standardisation
Tutors & assessors will meet annually to ensure consistent assessment standards across programmes.
Tutor Induction
New tutors are introduced to Sussex Yoga Training Ltd systems and teaching standards before joining the teaching team.
Feedback
Learner feedback is collected after training programmes and used to inform improvements.
Course updates are communicated via:
