Puglia, Italy Yoga Retreat 2027

  • Jun 29 - 03 Jul, 2027

A few days to step away from normal life, practise lots of Yoga with Lucy, eat well, rest & reconnect with yourself in one of the most beautiful parts of Southern Italy.

We ran our first retreat at Masseria Annabella in 2026 & the response was better than we could have hoped for. Our well-seasoned-yoga-retreating guests described the accommodation & Yoga shala as the best they had experienced on any Yoga retreat, including guests who had attended several retreats elsewhere.

Perhaps the best feedback is that our 2026 retreat guests have already booked to return with us in 2027.

Set amongst olive groves & pine trees near Ostuni in Puglia, Masseria Annabella is a beautifully restored Southern Italian farmhouse estate offering space, quiet, sunshine & a slower rhythm of living.

The house is spacious, peaceful & comfortable, with a separate fully equipped Yoga shala, swimming pool, pickleball court, outdoor dining areas & beautiful surrounding countryside.

The accommodation combines traditional Puglian character with modern comfort. Bedrooms are air conditioned, bright & spacious, with private or ensuite bathroom facilities, comfortable beds & calm contemporary interiors. It feels like staying in a beautiful private home rather than a hotel, with plenty of space to swim, read, rest & switch off.

Late June is a wonderful time to be in Puglia, with long warm days, light evenings & plenty of opportunity to enjoy the pool, the coast & outdoor dining.

There will be time to swim, sleep, read, wander through local towns, drink coffee slowly, eat excellent food & enjoy being away from the constant noise & pressure of normal life.

Ostuni, with its famous white streets & views towards the Adriatic, is a short drive away, alongside the beaches & beautiful coastal towns of Puglia.

Food will be fresh, generous & Mediterranean in style, with brunches, shared dinners & local produce. Wine is included with evening meals, within reason! Expect fresh pasta, vegetables, cheeses, olive oil, simple Italian cooking & the kind of food that belongs around a table with other people.

This is not a packed itinerary or a retreat where every hour is organised for you.

It is about having space. Space to practise Yoga, breathe better, move better, eat well, sleep, swim & remember what life feels like when it slows down for a few days.

The Yoga

There will be around 18 hours of Yoga with Lucy across the retreat, with the main programme taking place on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.

The Yoga will be varied but grounded in the approach many of you already know from the studio, intelligent Hatha Yoga with a strong alignment focus, sensible strengthening work, mobility, breathwork, restorative practice & time to investigate your practice rather than simply move through poses.

Both the morning & afternoon sessions will be divided into three distinct parts, so you can dip in & out depending on your energy, how early you want to start your day & what kind of practice you need.

Sessions will move between a stronger flowing practice, a more traditional Hatha workshop section with alignment work, posture breakdowns, hands-on adjustments & technical exploration, then a slower floor-based stretch, Yin or restorative practice.

You can attend one part, two parts or all three. You do not have to do every hour of Yoga simply because it is available.

The structure gives you choice. If you want to practise for hours, you can. If you want to do the morning practice then spend the afternoon reading beside the pool, you can do that too.

On Tuesday evening, after everybody has arrived, there will be a gentle one-hour Yin & recovery practice to stretch out after travelling, settle into the space & begin the retreat.

On Saturday morning there will be breakfast before airport transfers.

Greek Islands Sailing & Yoga Retreat 2027

  • Sep 04 - 11, 2027

Sail the the Dodecanese Islands, Greece

For our second retreat of 2027, we’re planning something quite different: seven nights living aboard a catamaran, sailing between the beautiful Dodecanese Islands with a small group of just seven guests.

This is intended to feel like a wonderful Greek sailing holiday with excellent Yoga woven into the week, rather than a retreat governed by a rigid timetable.

We’ll start & finish at Kos Marina, setting sail on Sunday morning for six full days exploring the islands before returning to Kos on Friday afternoon.

Our days will find their own rhythm. Wake up on the water, practise Yoga with me on the catamaran or on a beach, have breakfast onboard then set sail. We might stop in a secluded bay to swim, snorkel, paddleboard & have lunch before continuing to another island. There will be time to explore villages, relax on deck, read, sunbathe & enjoy simply being at sea.

Where will we sail?

Part of the appeal is that we won’t follow a rigid itinerary.

Our route will be decided by our skipper according to the wind, weather & what the group would like to experience.

We may take the northern route towards Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos & Lipsi, or sail south towards Nisyros, Tilos & Symi.

This flexibility is part of sailing. Rather than rushing between predetermined destinations, we can choose beautiful bays, quieter islands & places that suit the conditions each day.

September is a good time to explore the Dodecanese. The main summer crowds have begun to ease while the sea & weather remain warm. The sailing company describes September as part of the quieter autumn sailing season, when conditions tend to be milder & winds more manageable than during the height of summer.

Yoga with Lucy

There will be plenty of Yoga, but I don’t want this week to revolve around a strict retreat schedule.

We’ll practise on the catamaran & take our Yoga ashore onto beaches where conditions allow.

Expect a mixture of Hatha, Flow, mobility, restorative work & slower practices, adapted to where we are & what our bodies need after a day sailing, swimming & exploring.

Some mornings might begin with Yoga overlooking the sea. Another practice might happen on a quiet beach. There may be an evening stretch as the sun goes down.

Those of you who know me know the Yoga will still be top-notch, it will simply fit naturally into the sailing week.

Partners are welcome too. You do not need to be a regular Yoga student, or even practise Yoga, to come along.

Life aboard

Our catamaran gives us the space & comfort to make the boat our home for the week.

No sailing experience is required. Our skipper takes care of the sailing, although anyone who is interested can get involved & learn something about life under sail.

There will be paddleboards available for exploring the bays, snorkelling equipment onboard & a motorised dinghy for getting ashore.

The sailing company recommends travelling lightly, ideally with a soft or collapsible bag rather than a large hard suitcase, as storage aboard a yacht is naturally more limited than in a hotel.

Our skipper-chef

Our skipper, Hadrien “Nootch” Kieny, is an old friend of mine & the founder of Get A Way Adventure.

He has been guiding sailing trips through the Dodecanese for several seasons & knows the islands both on the water & ashore. He is also our onboard chef, preparing simple, fresh food throughout the week.

That combination is one of the reasons I like this retreat so much. We aren’t joining a large commercial cruise. We have somebody who knows the islands, their bays, villages & local places to eat & who can shape the week around the weather & our group.

Food & evenings

Food will be relaxed & sociable.

Breakfast & a simple lunch are prepared onboard, along with snacks & drinks. There will be soft drinks, beer & some house wine aboard & we can enjoy aperitifs together as the day winds down.

Some evenings we’ll go ashore to eat in local Greek tavernas & explore the villages.

Other evenings can be spent aboard, eating under the stars or having a barbecue on the catamaran.

There is something rather wonderful about finishing a day of sailing & swimming, opening a drink & eating together on deck as the sun goes down.

Getting there

The retreat begins at Kos Marina.

Kos has an international airport & the journey from the airport to the marina takes around 30 to 45 minutes by taxi.

The catamaran will be available to board from approximately 5pm on Saturday 4 September. We will sleep aboard in Kos that evening then set sail on Sunday morning.

We return to Kos Marina on Friday afternoon. Guests can sleep aboard for the final night before checking out on Saturday morning, 11 September.

Just seven guest places

I want to keep this retreat small.

There will be a maximum of seven paying guests, which gives us a very different atmosphere from a larger retreat & allows us to live, practise, sail & explore together without overcrowding the boat.

£1,450 per person sharing

£1,900 single occupancy

A £250 deposit will secure your place once I have confirmed that there is enough interest for the retreat to go ahead.

The remaining balance can then be spread across monthly instalments.

At this stage, I am asking for expressions of interest before committing to the catamaran. No payment is required until I confirm that the retreat is going ahead.

Is this your sort of week?

This is for people who like the idea of waking up somewhere different, practising Yoga beside the Aegean, swimming from the boat, exploring little islands, eating together, spending evenings under the stars & accepting that the wind might decide where we go next.

It will be active when we want it to be & relaxed when we don’t.

Seven guests, one catamaran & a week sailing through the Greek islands.

If you would like to be one of the seven, please register your interest.
